Ness Technologies opens India development center - This is the company's second center in Mumbai

Ness Technologies (Nasdaq: NSTC) is expanding in India. The company today inaugurated its second delivery center in Mumbai, which will provide offshore software development services for British customers.

Two months ago, Ness announced that it won a large multimillion-dollar contract for Pulsic Ltd. To handle this project, Ness had to hire several hundred new employees to augment its Indian workforce of 1,500. Ness said its new Mumbai center would employ 480 people, hired in two stages. 210 people will be employed in the first stage, inaugurated today.

Ness provides offshore services from locations in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai, which serve 30 independent software vendors (ISVs) developing software. The centers also provide computer units for developing applications, support and maintenance.
